When Is Engineering Required?
Any new mezzanine floor, whether it's a small storage platform or a full additional level, needs structural design and certification before construction. This is commonly required when:

Adding a mezzanine to increase storage or office space within an existing warehouse or industrial unit.

The existing slab needs to be checked to confirm it can support new column loads.

Council or a Registered Certifier requires structural drawings and certification as part of a DA or CDC.

Installing a racking supported or free standing mezzanine structure.
Engineering Documentation
Once the design is complete, Elevate Engineering Consultants can prepare the structural documentation needed for construction and approval, including structural drawings, footing and column designs, engineering calculations, and certification for submission to Council, the Registered Certifier or your builder.
